Lisa Roscioni

Lisa Roscioni was born and lives in Rome. A historian and writer, she teaches Early Modern History at Sapienza University of Rome. An author and host of cycles and monographic episodes on RadioTre Rai, she has published, among others, La badessa di Castro. Storia di uno scandalo (il Mulino, 2019); Il governo della follia. Ospedali, medici e pazzi in età moderna (Bruno Mondadori, 2011); Lo smemorato di Collegno. Storia italiana di un’identità contesa (Einaudi, 2022), a finalist for the 2007 Acqui Storia award and winner of the 2010 Certosa d'Oro prize, from which the miniseries of the same name for RaiUno Rai, directed by Maurizio Zaccaro, was made in 2009.
