Among those burgled is the young and beautiful Angelica Cosulich, who reminds Montalbano of the love interest in Ludovico Ariosto&#8217;s chivalric romance, Orlando Furioso. Taken by Angelica&#8217;s charms, he imagines himself back in the medieval world of jousts and battles.
