He is a librarian at La Sapienza University. He has published for Minimum fax <em>\u00c8 finito il nostro carnevale<\/em> (2007), <em>La rivincita di Capablanca<\/em> (2008), <em>Il libro dei personaggi letterari. Dal dopoguerra a oggi<\/em> (2015) and <em>Con in bocca il sapore del mondo<\/em> (2018).<br>With Sellerio he has published:&nbsp;<em>L\u2019ultimo ballo di Charlot<\/em>, translated into nineteen languages (2012, Premio Selezione Campiello 2013, Premio Sciascia Racalmare, Premio Caff\u00e8 Corretto Citt\u00e0 di Cave, Premio Alassio Centolibri),&nbsp;<em>Come un respiro interrotto&nbsp;<\/em>(2014), a contribution to the anthology&nbsp;<em>Articolo 1. Racconti sul lavoro<\/em>&nbsp;(2009),&nbsp;<em>Fumisteria<\/em>&nbsp;(2015, formerly Premio Vittorini for best debut)&nbsp;<em>Angelica e le comete&nbsp;<\/em>(2017),&nbsp;<em>Mastro Geppetto&nbsp;<\/em>(2021, Premio Dess\u00ec 2022, Premio Benedetto Croce 2022, Premio Stresa 2022) and the \u201cdiscourse\u201d on the therapeutic power of Dante's verses&nbsp;<em>E d&#8217;ogni male mi guarisce un bel verso&nbsp;<\/em>(2023); and also the novels starring bibliotherapist Vince Corso,&nbsp;<em>La lettrice scomparsa&nbsp;<\/em>(2016, Premio Scerbanenco),&nbsp;<em>Ogni coincidenza ha un&#8217;anima&nbsp;<\/em>(2018),&nbsp;<em>Uccido chi voglio&nbsp;<\/em>(2020),&nbsp;<em>Notturno francese&nbsp;<\/em>(2023). He also edited the Italian edition of&nbsp;<em>Curarsi con i libri. Rimedi letterari per ogni malanno&nbsp;<\/em>(2013, 2016) and&nbsp;<em>Crescere con i libri. Rimedi letterari per mantenere i bambini sani, saggi e felici<\/em>&nbsp;(2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024 he received the Hermann-Kesten Preis from PEN Germany, in tribute to what Iraqi writer Najem Wali called \u201cthe cosmopolitan and humanist character of the author.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His last book is <em>Bebelplatz<\/em> (Sellerio 2024).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fabio Stassi \u00e8 nato a Roma nel 1962. \u00c8 un bibliotecario dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 La Sapienza.
