{"id":492,"date":"2023-12-09T22:58:27","date_gmt":"2023-12-09T21:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alferj.com\/?p=492"},"modified":"2024-05-03T14:39:54","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T12:39:54","slug":"pietrangelo-buttafuoco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alferj.com\/en\/autori\/pietrangelo-buttafuoco\/","title":{"rendered":"Pietrangelo Buttafuoco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Pietrangelo Buttafuoco was born in Catania in 1963 and lives in Rome.\nHe is a journalist and writer. <br>He has published <em>Le uova del drago<\/em> (Mondadori, 2005, finalist for the 2006 Campiello Prize, reissued by La Nave di Teseo, 2016), <em>L\u2019ultima del diavolo<\/em> (Mondadori, 2008), <em>Il Lupo e la Luna<\/em> (Bompiani, 2011), <em>Il dolore pazzo dell\u2019amore <\/em>(Bompiani, 2013), <em>I cinque funerali della signora Goring <\/em>(Mondadori, 2014), <em>La notte tu mi fai impazzire<\/em> (Skira, 2016), <em>I baci sono definitivi<\/em> (La Nave di Teseo, 2017), <em>Sotto il suo passo nascono i fiori<\/em> (with Francesca Bocca-Aldaqre, La nave di Teseo, 2019), <em>Salvini and\/or Mussolini<\/em> (ParerFIRST, 2020).\n<br>Among the essays, he published <em>Fogli consanguinei<\/em> (Edizioni Ar, 2003), <em>Cabaret Voltaire<\/em> (Bompiani, 2008), <em>Buttanissima Sicilia<\/em> (Bompiani, 2014), <em>Il Feroce Saracino<\/em> (Bompiani, 2015), <em>Strabuttanissima Sicilia<\/em> (La Nave di Teseo, 2017); together with Carmelo Abbate <em>Armatevi e Morite<\/em> (Sperling &amp; Kupfer, 2017).\n<br>In 2016, for the seventieth anniversary of the Longanesi publishing house, he edited <em>Il mio Leo Longanesi<\/em>, an anthology of aphorisms, epigrams and short stories.\n<br>In 2018, he wrote the preface to <em>La repubblica dei vinti. Stories of Italians in Sal\u00f2<\/em> by Sergio Tau (Marsilio, 2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">He is the author of plays including: <em>Strabuttanissima Sicilia<\/em> with Salvo Piparo and <em>Il Dolore Pazzo dell\u2019Amore<\/em> with Mario Incudine.<br>He writes for Il Quotidiano del Sud.\n<br>His latest novel is titled <em>Sono cose che passano<\/em> and was published in 2021 (La nave di Teseo).\n<br>In 2023 he published with Longanesi <em>Beato lui.
